This is going to get interesting….
A topic surfaced today on a large forum I frequent, pertaining to a local guy I met once. I was riding my bike one day a few years ago and noticed a couple odd cars in a garage. The guy was outside hosing off his driveway so I stopped and said hi and if he minded if I looked at his wheels.
Justin was a really nice and polite dude that day, and I never forgot that. I been nervously following the governments ridiculous seizures of grey market cars in the last few years, nervously hoping he wouldn’t be affected. Green Bay is in the middle of nowhere, right? How would they ever know? Then the rumors started circling around on the regional boards of VWVortex and NASIOC. I knew the cars were gone, because he is building a clean Silvia right now I think and possibly a mid 60s GTO that I have seen parked there a few times.
I feel bad for the guy, sure laws were broken. Many laws are shit to begin with, and only exist to protect monetary interests of large corporations. It is a sad day for enthusiasts, not only in Brown County but all across the country of ours. Memorial Day takes on a new meaning for car guys like me, RIP Big Bird and GodZira.
